พิพิธภัณฑ์วัดร้องเม็ง อ.สันทราย

ตั้งอยู่เลขที่ 1 บ้านร้องเม็ง หมู่ที่ 2  ตำบลหนองแหย่ง อำเภอสันทราย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ภายในวัดร้องเม็งได้ก่อตั้งพิพิธภัณฑ์ขึ้นซึ่งนับว่าเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ศิลปวัฒนธรรมความเป็นอยู่ของชาวล้านนา โดยได้รวบรวมส ิ่งต่าง ๆ บ่งบอกถึงความเป็นมาของเรื่องราวในอดีต อีกทั้งยังเป็นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่เปิดโอกาสให้กับผู้ที่สนใจในเรื่องของศิลปะ โบราณวัตถุ ได้เข้ามาแวะเวียนเยี่ยมชมโดยไม่คิดค่าเข้าชมใด ๆ พิพิธภัณฑ์วัดร้องเม็ง เปิดให้ชม และศึกษาทุกวันไม่มีวันหยุด ตั้งแต่เ วลา 08.00 น. – 17.30 น.

The path to the museum of Wat Rong Meng

Inside the museum over 20,000 items of artifacts are on display. Most of them are the native instruments and appliances in the household, such as rice cooking pot, fermented tea leaves pot, pottery, basketry of various sizes.

The lamp and handloom weaving instruments, fish-traps, brick molding, scale and currency.

Buddha images, palm leaf manuscripts and devices for inscribing the palm leaf and so forth

It is situated in Wat Rong Meng, Tambon Nong Yaeng, Amphoe San Sai, Chiang Mai Province.

This museum was initiated and established on October 1, 2527 (1984) by Phra Khru Kowit Dhammasobhon (Sriphong Kovido). After his collection of artifacts in great numbers, the villagers raised funds and built one gallery building. It was celebrated and officially opened in March, 2527 (1984).

In front of the museum was constructed the landscape, where flowering and ornamental trees like areca nut and betel vine are grown. Additionally, there are a statue of water buffalo being tied to the trap and a bullock cart stationed at the entrance to museum.
