This temple had been selected by Siam Architecture Association

It is a very interesting place for study or having research: inside the temple tere is a building with four,gable ends:a tetrahedron Pavillion and Vihara(forsermons )made of teakwood in the whole building. It is very beautiful.

The back side wall of Budda image had the arch, which collected with the Alloy Buddha Image attach to the wall as arch.625 left.

1 Km.from the main street . Chiangmai is a city worth visiting for all its tourist attractions. It is a city full of enigma and awe with its beautiful countryside, temples and historical buildings blending harmoniously with modern day technology.

วัดต้นเกว๋นเป็นวัดเก่าแก่ที่มีความสำคัญในอดีตเพราะเป็นที่พักขบวนพระบรมธาตุศรีจอมทอง จากอ.จอมทอง มาที่เชียงใหม่ ในอดีตเป็นประเพณีที่เจ้าหลวงเมืองเชียงใหม่ มีการสรงน้ำพระธาตุ คือจากวัดพระธาตุจอมทองมาก็เดินทางมาด้วยขบวนช้าง ขบวนม้า แล้วแวะมาที่วัดต้นเกว๋น ให้ประชาชนแถวนี้สรงน้ำพระธาตุศรีจอมทอง หลังจากนั้นก็อัญเชิญไปที่วัดสวนดอก 3 วัน 7 วัน แล้วก็ขึ้นวัดพระธาตุดอยสุเทพ เป็นประจำทุกปี เป็นเรื่องของเจ้านายฝ่ายเหนือในอดีต

      

       วัดต้นเกว๋นถือว่าเป็นวัดที่สมบูรณ์ที่สุด และเป็นวัดที่งามที่สุดในประเทศไทย ซึ่งได้รับรางวัลสถาปัตยกรรมดีเด่น ของสมาคมสถาปนิกสยามในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ของสมเด็จพระเทพฯ เมื่อปี 2532 ซึ่งวัดต้นเกว๋นมีลักษณะสถาปัตยกรรมที่แสดงออกถึงแบบแผนทางศิลปกรรมและสถาปัตยกรรมล้านนาที่งดงามและทรงคุณค่าเป็นอย่างยิ่ง โครงสร้างและองค์ประกอบทางสถาปัตยกรรมของวัดจะใช้ไม้แกะสลัก โดยนายช่างที่มีความสามารถและชำนาญการแกะสลักในสมัยนั้น
